Having A Blast
We were very excited to receive a visit from Rob and Kim last week. It was as though we got to go on a brief vacation of our own when they invited us up to thier posh hotel in the shadow of Camelback Mountain. We spent most of the weekend with them but were disappointed we when we had to go back to reality.
Saturday Rob and Kim came to Tempe to check out the new house. Kim has a lot of ideas for our backyard, which is nice–because we need help! After giving the house tour and chatting for a bit, we ate at our favorite Mexican resturant, Rositas, followed by a stop at Walgreens where Kim and Rob lavished on Micah. Kim was very disappointed that we still had not got a baby pool for Micah, so we went to the store where she bought him a pool, arm floats, balls for the water and his first squirt gun.
Sunday we were able to hang out at the resort they stayed at in Scottsdale (Sanctuary at Camelback Mountain). The resort is amazing, especially their pool, where we spent most of the day. It was so fun and relaxing to just hang out by the pool (in the shade), jump in the water when we got too hot and then lay out to dry once we were sick of the water. We really appreciate Rob and Kim making time for us while they were here and giving us a very fun weekend!
Below are pictures of their visit, along with pictures of Micah in his new pool. We didn’t get it set up until this weekend, but he immediately loved it. The water was pretty cold when we first filled it, which meant he had to get out sooner than he wanted to (his teeth wouldn’t stop chattering). Micah didn’t seem to care what the temperature was. When we pulled him out, he got angry and tried to cry his way back in.

The big float was provided by the resort, but notice my new arm floats.

Uncle Rob and Cid were good buds

But Rob and Micah had fun also

Aunt Kim and Micah had a good time dancing together

They danced to the music provided by Micah's musical dog

Micah was very excited to get in the water and test out the new pool.

Micah loves to splash water over everything within reach

Boy the water was cold!
